sales have also been on the upswing, with Arctic Cat reporting 3% growth

It goes on to list synthetic lubricant options that are Amsoil Inc.'s
niche response to the demands of industry and consumers. The range of
products cover the requirements of OEM's of four-stroke engines that
have replaced the two-stroke as the preferred choice for recreation
fans. In some cases the authorities also are resisting 2 strokers from
using the national and recreational parks.

Amsoil Inc.'s recent product options are Formula 4-Stroke Synthetic
Motor Oils: WCT, WCF and AFF. To ensure protection during hot and cold
temperatures extremes, Polaris recommends 0W-40 viscosity oils in its
equipment. It replaces 0W030, 5W-30, 10W-30, 10W-40. Doesn't that make
sense when snowmobiles and ATV's go when the weather is cruel and it
takes no prisoners.

Categories of protection include, heat and thermal break down,
transmission issues, superior wear protection for pistons bearings,
transmission gears and shear stability. Churning in high RPM engines can
cause oil to foam, depleting its lubricating abilities and increasing
heat and wear. Oxidation presents threatening deposit, oil consumption
and elevated emissions. Fuel dilution is also common to snowmobiles.

The benefits of synthetics is a constant debate among motorized sports
fans and vehicle owners alike but when the car or machine of a friend or
neighbour without synthetics remains dead or quits, the debate ends.
